This PLC is the first in a progressive series of four sessions. This is a repeat of the sessions held during the 2017-18 school year. Participants may register for all of the sessions or just the ones that apply to their needs.
In PLC 1, we will be looking at effective intervention practices across different content areas. Participants will be able to identify effective intervention practices and use this information to refine their practices within their school or district. In PLC 2, we will look at how to use our data to define specific problem statements that tell us what students know and what they need to learn. In PLC 3, we will use learning continuums to determine where a student is in their skill knowledge and what skills they need to master next. We will practice effective practices for phonological awareness and phonics. In PLC 4, we will take a deeper look into fluency and comprehension skills and effective practices to teach those skills.
PLC 1 will be held at the Washington Avenue Baptist Church, 1621 North Washington Avenue Cookeville, TN from 8:30-11:00.
